Since the beginning of the Department in 1999, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education and training at the undergraduate level in various areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department has well equipped laboratories in the areas VLSI and Embedded System, Communication Engineering, Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronics and Digital Signal Processing and has simulation platforms like Cadence, HESS, Matlab, Xilinx etc. The department has been consistently producing engineering graduates of high caliber who occupy prestigious positions in the academic and industrial fields.
The vision of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is to become a nationally and internationally leading institution of higher learning and a center of research and education generating the knowledge and the technologies which lay the groundwork in shaping the future in the fields of electronics and communication engineering.
The mission of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is to provide education for those students who are able to compete internationally, able to produce creative solutions to the society’s needs, conscious to the universal moral values, adherent to the professional ethical code, and to generate and disseminate knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of electronics and communication engineering.
Department has enough number of class rooms for the smooth conduct of the courses. Moreover new construction over the existing building is being done for creating facilities for Post Graduate programs planning

The major equipments/instruments available in the laboratories include CROs, Power Oscilloscope, Antenna design and fabrication tools, SMPS trainer kits, Digital IC trainers, 8086 Microprocessor trainer, kits PSC based, Micro controller 8952, Spectrum Analyser, Optical Fiber Trainer, Colour TV Trainer, DSP Kit, MATLAB Software and the like.
